
“I’m going to stick to what I said about being as active as I can,” Penn said on his official website. “We’re going to contact the UFC and get a fight as soon as possible. Luckily I didn’t get injured, so I’ve got no injuries. I can still build off the last camp.
I didn’t go out, I didn’t party or anything. I’m gonna jump in the gym tomorrow full blast and get back to training again.”
Prior to his back-to-back losses to Edgar, Penn (15-7-1) had won five of his last six fights, losing only to welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre while scoring title defenses over Kenny Florian and Diego Sanchez in 2009.
